An intricately detailed and pretty ring from the Arda collection from House of Lor. The ring features designs inspired by those found on the Ardagh Chalice, an 8th century chalice (a large two handled silver cup) so named because it was discovered by two young men digging near an ancient ring fort in a field near the village of Ardagh in County Limerick in 1868. It is ornamented with a circle of unusual Irish gold, mined in Ireland. The design wraps all the way around the ring with a matching detail in silver on the back and a smooth interior surface.
