A sterling silver pendant designed by Annie Quinn and handmade in Ireland as part of her Clochán: Stories in Stone collection.
This collection, inspired by "the ancient stone walls, castles and dwellings of Ireland crafted by generations of local people and how they have become one with the landscape."
This Clochán pendant is inspired by the Irish stone hut dwellings known as "Beehive huts" (seen now in places like The Skelligs off the coast of Co. Kerry, rocky islands once inhabited by monks.) To the artist "having survived on the Irish landscape for over one thousand years, this piece symbolizes strength, survival and protection."
